About me

I live in Branch with my wife, Taylor, and son, Sterling. I’ve been fighting for this District for just about as long as I’ve lived here. As the founding director of Gravel & Grit, I’ve been representing our community interests in Little Rock for over a year—and I’ve seen the need for independent representation in the legislature.

I’m a small business owner, a beginning farmer, member of LeadAR Class 21, and have extensive experience as a paralegal. Together with my nonprofit work in Arkansas, both with Gravel & Grit and Arkansas Civic Action Network, I believe I’m uniquely qualified to tackle the issues facing our district. I understand the importance of preserving the District’s rural communities while pursuing opportunities for measured and responsible growth.

Through the countless hours I’ve spent pushing back against the prison, I’ve seen the worst of party politics, special interest influences, and the heavy hand of the establishment leaning on our lawmakers. With all of that power now squarely aimed at our District, we need someone free from establishment influences and party pressures to be the peoples’ voice at the Capitol.

I stood shoulder to shoulder with our late Senator Stubblefield to fight the government’s overreach since day one of the prison announcement. Through that work, I’ve already spent the time building relationships with law makers, advocacy groups, and civic organizations.  I’ve demonstrated the work ethic, integrity, and commitment to the community needed to represent its interests. I’ve done the work as a private citizen. Now I’m asking you to continue trusting me—send me to Little Rock to finish what we started.

Invest in independence

This campaign is fueled by neighbors, not party machines. If you believe in independent governance, freedom from special interests, and the need to get back to conversations and common sense, please consider making an investment in our campaign.

Every dollar in means another post card, another yard sign, or another phone call that lets us spread the word that we don’t have to be beholden to a party system that’s consistently failed us.

Note: We’ve included a donation method called “SpareChange” which allows you to link a credit or debit card and donate in small increments each time you make a regular purchase by rounding up the amount to the next nearest dollar. This is a great way to show ongoing support for the campaign without giving a large chunk up front.
